One of the things grand moms must contend with is the generation gap. There is that fear of doing too much and too little. How would one balance the two different worlds divided by time, space and distance?

I see in the distance, our gaps getting wider, and how it pains me!  We know in our minds and hearts that we must connect but how? Are letters and phone calls enough?  What is too little and too much?

I write this blog to exchange ideas with other grandparents like me , who perhaps are in the same dilemma as mine. I believe that there is some way by which we can reach out into their future and make the grandparent-grandchildren relationship stronger.

What can grandparents do to connect with their grandchildren without getting too overwhelming? To try to influence some of their ideas without getting in the way? …without disturbing or disrupting their lives?

How will the grandchildren face it?  Will we be “getting in the way?” Will they consider it a disruption of their lives?
